Women in Wine Happy Hour | Continuing the Conversation
Elk Cove Vineyard
Wednesday, August 19, 2026 6-8pm PST
Elk Cove Vineyard
27751 NW Olson Rd, Gaston, OR 97119, USA

Join us for an evening of connection, conversation, and community as we gather to build on the ideas and energy from our annual conference. Whether you attended the conference or are joining us for the first time, this happy hour is a chance to connect with peers, exchange ideas, and be part of a community committed to shaping a stronger future for Oregon wine. Over a glass of wine and through small-group roundtable discussions, we'll explore what it takes to create a more accessible, welcoming, and collaborative future for Oregon wine. Together, we'll talk about investing in the next generation earlier, opening more pathways into the industry, and challenging the notion that wine has to feel exclusive or intimidating. These conversations are designed to move beyond ideas and toward action. We'll explore practical changes we can begin today. We hope you'll bring your perspective, your curiosity, and your voice to the table!

Includes a glass of wine and light bites!

Learn more about Sarah Harris

My name is Sarah Harris and in addition to being absolutely obsessed with Oregon Pinot, I have spent nearly 21 years in recruiting.  I grew up in Oregon, went to Oregon State, then moved to Europe for a year, Seattle for a year, Australia for 2 years – temping all the way.  I came back to Portland and worked in Accounting as the Controller of a local non-profit.  A recruiter called me and changed everything, inviting me to join her firm.  I am now about to celebrate 21 years and have been a top 10% performer recognized nationally 16 times. My obsession with and support of our local wine region is evident by the number of wine club memberships my husband has to limit me joining!  .

I find the most rewarding part is helping people to see themselves more clearly, and to help them learn how to advocate for themselves.  The conversations I have with people while they are facing one of the top 5 decisions they will make in their life, a job change, I’ve developed methodologies and an approach where you can learn to see how others see you, and learn to influence what they see in you.

I look forward to spending some time with you to share my unique perspective on resume writing, interviewing, and how you can position yourself to get to the next level.
